Yes, it’s that time of the year again!
Because I don’t normally celebrate my birthday or holidays, this might very well be the only annual tradition I honour.
Here we go:
In the best category, the nominees are Milla Jovovich, Kristen Wiig, and Penelope Cruz.
And the best dress award goes to … Penelope “Swooon” Cruz.
In the worst category, the nominees are Melissa Leo, Meryl Streep, Nancy O’Dell, and Sherri Shepherd.
And the worst dress award goes to … Melissa “What was she thinking?” Leo!

Penelope Cruz had one of my favourite red carpet gowns and Jovovich turns it out on a regular basis. No love for Kristen Wiig’s dress though. I’m rarely a fan of frocks that match the wearer’s skin tone.

It was Wiig’s dress that gave me the idea of nominees and winners (not the awards themselves surprisingly enough) because, even after checking out other photos of it, I couldn’t quite say “best” but wanted to say more than “honorary mention”. There’s something quite arresting about the dress — but maybe not a great colour for her. I think the strong nail polish helps a lot.
