About Movement
Art is the still movement of beauty. Culture is the accumulated artifacts of different social movements. Politics is the art of surfing the movements of public opinion. Movement is also an euphemistic description of a good hearty two-flush dump.
The purpose of this blog is to examine and discuss art, culture, politics, and their points of intersection. It aims to do so in a manner which never loses sight of the fact that we all are going to need to poop some day.
Feedback of any kind greatly appreciated and feel free to comment on older posts. Suggestions for topics of discussion are warmly welcomed. If you prefer to reply privately, drop me an email at sterling.lynch@gmail.com.
I just want you to know that the line about poop was enough to convince me of your brilliance…

Just a fun (imho) tie-in: By definition, no movement can occur without motive power. In Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Dagny Taggart asks Hank Rearden, “What good is a railroad without motive power?”, to which Rearden responds, “What good is anything without motive power?”. Keep on moving.

Hi David. Thanks for the comment. I always enjoy a good tie-in and I absolutely agree with the sentiment of your observation. Ultimately, we are the motive power!
