“Create, Destroy and Preserve” is a Buddhist tenant. Personally I have altered this construct to read: “Create, Destroy, Persevere.”
I find you to be brave and focused – thank you for including me in this conversation. It’s a privilege to participate in the genesis of a new vision for the arts. I have no doubt that you will persevere.
Thanks Mare! Thank you for joining me on the journey!
I believe in you friend. I’ve no doubt you’ll continue your streak of good works and good things for our community. It’s my honour to contribute.

I expect you to put out.
Thank you Nadine! Your support is unwavering and always appreciated!
I can pencil you in for Tuesday.
Sterling – has it come to this!!! Pretentious words for some cash??? Dear oh dear! i’ve also checked out the music which is cool. How you holding out mate? Diss. on its way beginning of march hopefully – think you’ll find it interesting. Did u check out mumford and sons?
Rigg! Good to hear from you!
It always has been and always will be an offer of words in exchange for goods and service (preferably in the form of cash) That is the essential relationship of all writers / artists to his or her community. In this case, instead of writing some words for a grant committee, I’m going directly to the people.
Practically-speaking, it’s not unlike busking. I don’t know if this was your experience in Edinburgh, but on the Fringe tour this summer, it was obvious the hat-passing street buskers routinely did much much better than the folks prancing around under the lights indoors.
More evocatively, it is a way for folks to become a part of my story. It’ not unlike buying a pint for a local songster whose work you enjoy.
I’m glad you enjoyed the music. I have been a bit slack about following up on your music suggestions. It’s been a bit hectic around here.
I look forward to reading the dissertation!
